Description
The City of Dunwoody Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Sergeant. 
 
This is an entry-level supervisory position, which normally works under the general supervision of a Lieutenant. The employee is responsible for the performance of law enforcement, administrative, and communications activities carried out during the shift including supervision of personnel assigned to the shift or unit. The candidate hired for this opening will be assigned to night shift patrol.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and/or Experience
a) Graduation from high school or possess a GED
b) Georgia Basic Peace Officer Certification and twenty (20) hours POST training annually as required by POST
c) At least four (4) years experience in the field of law enforcement 

Other Requirements:
• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must possess a valid Georgia Class C driver’s license
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• No felony convictions during your lifetime
• No discharge from any military organization less than an honorable discharge
• No termination for cause from a local, state or federal civil service or merit system job
• No current financial obligations/contract to any law enforcement agency or department
